Party 13 Days 4 me - 16 days 4 jmweirick - 6 days 4 Jackie Party (whoops screwed up the days, that's what happens when i don't update every day, they should now be correct for the 13 of March)

Well I hope Kristen had a great birthday yesterday, I sepent the day running aroung getting spikes, shoes and socks for track which starts monday, getting rid of some recycleables (Aluminium cans) and getting some checks deposited. It seems that now I'm a Asics runner, spikes and training shoes. They didn't have my size of spikes at Gear so we went to Marathon sports, who didn't have them either, this pair of Adidas spikes fit like a sock, which is good, but they arn't intended for a 1600 and 3200 runner (1 and 2 mile), they were for a metric mile (1500) and mile (1600) runner, classified as medium distance, which wouldn't cut it for me. So we have to order the spikes and hopefully they'll get here befor the first meet, but it really doesn't matter, since I am taking track seriously this year, I am really only using it once again as training to prepair for CC in the fall.

I finally got a good connection with Valve's steam thingy, and downloaded my Half-Live 2 package that came with the ATi Radeon 9800XT that I put in a computer I built for my dad's work. It works well on my brother's 1GHz P3 384MB DDR (yeah it's one of the special Soyo boards that is cool but you can't OC a P3 1Ghz, due to internal isssues in the chip.) with a 128MB Radeon 9600 64bit memory interface (It's some Rosewell card that uses ATi chips, it's a good card for only 70USD), my 866MHz P3 576MB PC133 nVidia Gforce4000 MX 128MB card it's ok but that extra ~133MHz and a Radeon 9600 would help allot. I downloaded CS:S (Irked)ource (Counter Strike Source) which is just as sweet as Half-Life 2, allot of eye candy, the only advantage that i have is 5.1 sound, but really emmulated 5.1, I've only got a soundblaster live! Digital, so it's only 4 channel annaloge and 5.1 Digital. But the directional sound kick ass. I have to say that if you don't have Half-Life 2 and you have a box that can run it, get it, the min specs say you need a 1.2Ghz, but that's because of the crappy sub 2.0Ghz P4s that worked slower then my box. My uncle was able to get HL2 to work on a 700 P3 with 256Mb ram and an old 3dfx Vodoo 5500 at normal quality/ the default, detail and resolution can be reduced from 800x600 and Medium to lower values. It is also worth the money to build/buy a new box that can run HL2, the game is better then the screen shots.

I did a video stress test in CS:S (Irked)ource with default graphic settings, and it averaged 47.2 frames a second, I believe that is pretty damn good, and it looked good when testing also.

In other news there is a CD, the Bill Album, that a freind of mine made, it's going to be up on iTunes and some free sites, I did the new CD cover and i was going to post the songs but Ubersandard has failed me, or the cd quality is fucking up LAME causing nothing but silence at 32Kbps in a variable bit rate, alt set extreme, conditions. Petty claims that he is going to make a remix of the Bill Album, but it makes no sence since it is a mix of message recordings to rap beats, that are covers of RIAA songs ( Puking ). It is only 20Min long at max, the pre release cd was longer, but had fewer tracks, I have a feeling that we will be activly working on making a it a true LP with something like 16 tracks that are more origional then the current, and possibly containing the current tracks.

TGG States
TGG under reformation, the name The Gramps Group is being dropped completly. The new official name is TGG. The project names are all changing to revolve around a centeral theme, and actuall specs will be released in the comming weeks, well maybe in a month or so.
